"I act, therefore I am. I am, therefore I act"
The film industry better get ready, because there's a new girl in town, and she's like nothing they've ever seen!!! Standing at 6 feet tall, this energetic, outgoing, enigmatic, prairie girl, born and raised in Regina, SK, has jumped into acting and is loving every second of it!
After training to become a professional dancer for most of her life and then pursuing, and training as a model for runway, editorial and commercial modeling, on the advice of her agent, Marnie decided to try her hand at acting.
This seemed like an obvious move since Marnie was no stranger to performing and loved to be in the spotlight. So she went with her agency to the Faces West Model & Talent Convention in Vancouver, BC, entered in all of the acting competitions and workshops etc. with other actors from all over Canada and the United States. Just being in that environment she learned so much and Marnie felt that even if that's all she went home with, she'd be happy. But that fun didn't stop there! After placing in the top 3 for all the competitions, and making it into the Top 8 Actors, Marnie was then awarded with a trophy as the Top Adult Talent of the convention! In addition to that, she receieved a lot of positive feedback from agents and received a call back from exclusive Vancouver agency "Talent Co." After having such a great time at the convention, or as what she says was "One of the best times of my life," Marnie feels she has finally found what she was meant to do, act!
So now she heads to Vancouver, to pursue acting in a larger market and to find her place in the film industry. Marnie is currently enrolled in a 2-Week Intensive acting course at the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts, and can't wait for it to start. To make it in acting, Marnie understands she must never stop practicing or training, there will always be fine tuning of skills when pursuing a career in the craft of acting, and it's a challenge that she gladly accepts!
