The acting bug bit Malcolm back in high school, causing him to immerse himself in all things theatric including Drama classes, acting and crew work in the school's annual year play, as well as acting, writing et al for satirical sketches in the school's annual Literary Revue. Marriage, family and career took centre stage, although he found time for some enjoyable roles in television commercials in the 70s. After a career focused on writing, first in radio and freelancing, then in the PR/Communications field in the nonprofit and government sectors, Malcolm "retired", which these days means "changed his career to something he REALLY wants to do".
That something has, surprise, been acting and he has enjoyed working with Partners In Motion on numerous Crime Stories episodes over the past few years. Through those experiences and an intensive Trevor Chilton workshop, Malcolm very much appreciates the knowledge he has gained of the craft, of life in the studio and on location. He now feels he has the experience, flexibility, knowledge, talent and mature good looks to be an asset to any production. Oh, and let's not forget he's obsessive about being on time and following direction. |
